Kuwait Ends Visa Ban on Pakistanis After 19 Years

ISLAMABAD – After 19 years, Kuwait has lifted the visa ban on Pakistani citizens, opening new opportunities for work and travel.

Mustafa Malik, the focal person for the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis, said that many countries are now welcoming skilled Pakistani workers. Kuwait has started issuing various types of visas to Pakistanis, including work, family, visit, tourist, and commercial visas. These visas can be easily applied for through an online platform.

Malik added that this move will create thousands of job, trade, and tourism opportunities for Pakistanis in Kuwait.

He also mentioned that Italy will soon offer a yearly quota of jobs for Pakistani workers following a recently signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two countries. Several Arab nations are also interested in hiring skilled Pakistani professionals.

In related news, Japan aims to attract 400,000 international students by 2033. The country has simplified its visa process by expanding English-language degree programs, increasing scholarships, and making visa applications easier.

Students applying to Japan will need a valid passport, a certificate of eligibility from their institution, visa application forms, proof of financial support, academic transcripts, and passport-sized photos.

After graduation, Japan will offer work visas like the “Designated Visa,” allowing students to look for jobs. However, a good command of the Japanese language (JLPT N2 level) is usually required for employment. Some companies also hire bilingual candidates, providing better career opportunities for international graduates.
